A place, a time, a season.
Te Waa means "the place", where connection happens. We walk alongside whānau in Havelock North and Hastings through the wisdom of financial coaching and the practical care of Helping Hands, lending a hand with whatever needs doing around the home.
Havelock North Debt Centre, all time, as at 23 Sep 2026.
Two ways we walk alongside whānau
Two practical services. Many whānau come to us for one and end up connected to both.
Financial coaching
One-to-one coaching that starts where you are. Our debt coaches walk alongside whānau every step of the way, while Christians Against Poverty (CAP) does the grunt work behind the scenes.

“They sat with us at the kitchen table and helped us make a plan we could actually keep. A year on, we are still keeping it.”
A practical way to serve through your church
We need people with a passion to help out. Whatever your skills, there is a place for you.
